Immortal Hulk (Comic): Tipstor? Pick
The Return of Bruce Banner in the Immortal Hulk! When night falls something other than the man gets up again.
- Comic: Immortal Hulk
- Writer: Al Ewing
- Artist: Joe Bennett
- Publisher: Marvel Comics
Summary: The Immortal Hulk. You know Bruce Banner. He’s quiet, calm, never complains. He’s a man who believes he can use the darkest elements of his personality to do good in the world. If someone were to shoot him in the head… All he’d do is die. But the horror lives deeper. A horror that refuses to die. The horror is the Immortal Hulk.
With Bruce Banner back in the realm of the living following his death in Civil War II and apparent rebirth during Secret Empire, the creative team of Ewing and Bennett have given the character a markedly different tone and approach that is more of a horror comic than a traditional superhero book. Banner has now learned that he may in fact die in any number of gruesome ways, but that Hulk is effectively immortal and will always manage to heal and reconstitute himself. Furthermore, Hulk has his intelligence once again and is playing the part of dark vigilante. With a grim and wickedly sarcastic new take on the Hulk, Banner is on the run from friends and foes. Easily one of the best titles from Marvel’s newest relaunch.
